An offer entitled " Material Lab Test Engineer - Tribology, Metallurgy and Testing (f/m) " has just opened within Airbus Helicopters on its Marignane site

In the field of helicopter flight maintenance tests, you participate in all of the activity of developing and carrying out the tests necessary for the expertise and qualification of metallic materials. Your main interfaces will be industry, the design office and certain external laboratories.

Tasks And Responsibilities

You will contribute to the following main activities:

Carry out characterization tests on metallic materials such as traction, fatigue, hardness, etc.
Carry out metallographic characterization tests such as micrography, grain size, contamination, etc.
Res. stress measurement (XRD, mech. methods like hole drilling/contour cutting…)
Trouble shooting of std test methods and continues development of test methods specific to Airbus Helicopters
Tribology studies and test bench and method development (rolling, sliding, fretting)
Project management: to plan (Quote, validation and schedule) the test campaigns, but also coordinate them (subcontracting and/or alignment with the customer if necessary), carry out the tests/analyses defined, and document and validate the analyzes and conclusions for test reports.
Within the laboratory team, you will ensure the application and maintenance of the quality management system (ISO17025) including the maintenance of equipment with potential investments in your technical field.

We are looking for candidates with the following experience and skills:

An engineer level in the field of materials and more particularly with experience in test laboratories.
A higher technical level with concrete experience in the field described above will also be welcome.
